She's around for the vast majority of the Steppe.

On an unrelated note, someone needs to compile a list of all the times people (and particular Minfilia) effusively praise you in this game. I feel like every other MSQ quest involves people being like "I would just like you thank you again for being so incredible and saving the world. Words cannot express my gratitude. The world owes you a debt it can never repay. Only God Himself is more worthy of praise than you, and even that is a topic up for debate."

Yeah it gets pretty annoying and even though the writing steps up quite a bit with the expansions that part never really goes away. It does make the few characters that don't shower you with unending praise stand out more though.

If going through Stormblood as a MNK got me any special dialogue, I sure as heck didn't notice it. Not even in the dungeon specifically made by a monk to train monks that features a monk boss at the end. FINAL FANTASY XIV: Stormblood (13)

SAM is mandatory though, if only for the final showdown of 4.0.

I think Temple of the Fist has like an extra line if you're a Monk but it's just something like "Wow, you're a monk? Then you're just the man for the job!"

So this solo duty with Tataru after Swallow's compass is the hardest fight in the game, right?

It's no Red Chocobo.

We have no reason to believe she's good though. From the WoD storyline we learned that going full retard on light wrecks a world just as surely as darkness will. Sure, she helps you fight primals and such, but those sustain themselves by stealing aether directly from Hydaelyn, so that could be a simple matter of self-preservation.

Maybe they're setting the story up for a Babylon 5 'get the hell out of my galaxy, both of you' moment.

Doesn't the WOD storyline end with the Avatar of Hydaelyn's will heading off to fix things by absorbing back the light that destroyed their world? Like, yeah I guess that's just fixing her own mess and all but it seems she's doesn't want overwhelming light to erase universes.

Y'know I think I already knew this but Alphascape pretty much confirmed to me that the Ironworks are the best characters in the game. Nero and Alpha better join up with them again come next expansion or else I am going to be extremely upset. Also Omega should become an employee, I don't care that they're dead.

Omega is probably among my favourite content in the game actually. These new raids weren't too hard but they were really fun fights. V4 was maybe a bit too straightforward for the final Omega raid but it was such a spectacle I didn't mind. Omega was really good!

Alphinaud provides a lot to the story. Like many jokes told at his expense. That used to be Thancred's role but he's serious now and I think it's better with Alphinaud because he takes himself more seriously.

To be fair Doma was lame and boring.

The Omega crossover stuff was good and cool though.
